Cargo Field Operator

Job Role Summary

Provide qualified support services for cargo loading, transfer, and discharging operations aboard the FSO. Assist in maintaining LSA, Fi-Fi and SOPEP equipment on deck ops area in good condition and keeping the inventory list of these equipment up to date.

Job Role Responsibilities

Business/Operations:

• Assist as directed with all activities related to deck operations daily routines.
• Assist with export tanker mooring/un-mooring operations as required
• All aspects of first line maintenance of cargo and deck equipment housekeeping of pump room and cargo handling equipment
• Preparation of cargo and void tanks for confined space entry
• Assist in launching and recovery of life/rescue boats
• Act as member of any emergency response or security team
• Support FSO waste management compliance
• Full compliance with all company and regulatory safety, health and environmental requirements
• Participate in onboard Behavior Based Safety programs
• Preparation of PTW/Job Safety Analysis for routine activity
• Assist with isolation/de-isolation process
• Operator rounds/field surveillance
• Acting as CCR operator when required
• Lifting director during material/personnel transfer via crane
• HLO for helicopter operations
• AGT for any CSE in deck operations area

SHE (Safety Health Environment):

• Committed to safety and company procedures in all tasks.
• Assist in maintaining LSA, Fi-Fi and SOPEP equipment on deck ops area in good condition and keeping the inventory list of these equipment up to date.
• Fulfill all Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.
• Emergency Response Responsibilities: Coxswain

Requirements

Competencies:

• Competent on the safe work practice requirement and had passed CAS assessment on required competencies.
• Analytical thinker, enthusiastic, self-directed and customer focused.
• Good communication, Interpersonal and Analytical/Problem Solving Skills.
• Capable of working in a multi-national environment, sensitive to the local culture and international workforce
• Good understanding of ExxonMobil’s OIMS, CIMS, FIMS, PBPs and SSHE regulation/best practices.
• Site specific course required for the position, refer to EMCL Competency Training Roadmap
• Understanding of behavior-based safety programs
• Understanding of EMCL Safety Management system
• Sound understanding of emergency response processes, including offshore & deck oil spill responses
• Attend relevant emergency response trainings and hold certifications per applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Merchant Marine Higher Institute (Deck Officer); ANT III
• Good written and oral communication skills in English with TOEIC score minimum at 650
• Holding a valid Class 3 (Second Mate) certificate of competency for unlimited tonnage, with a liquid petroleum and/or dangerous cargo endorsement.
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a similar position
• A high level of computer ability and skills are essential
• Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats (SCRB) with certificates
• Basic Safety Training (BST) certificate
• Basic training for oil and chemical tanker (BOCT) certificate
• SSO/Security Awareness Training Certificate
• HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certificate (preferred)
• H2S Level 2 certificate (preferred)
• AGT (Authorized gas tester) – preferred
• HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer) – Preferred
• Highly motivated team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Good knowledge of cargo handling and measurement activities
• Skilled in use of hand tools required for maintenance activities
• High mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated knowledge of emergency procedures and the ability to operate emergency equipment
• Basic knowledge of environmental protection
• Familiar with developing a permit to work/JSA
• Familiar with crane operations activity onboard a vessel.
• Good computer skills (MS office).
