Cargo Control Room Operator
Job Role Summary:
Maintain routine watch-keeping in CCR, assisting Lead CCR Operator for the control of all aspects related to cargo operations, maintaining LSA, FFA and SOPEP equipment in good condition.
Job Role Responsibilities:
Business/Operations:
- Routine watch-keeping in CCR. This task includes the following but not limited to: Loading, lifting and all other activities related to cargo operations, Using RADARS and all other means to monitor surrounding area of FSO, Monitoring of gas detectors, smoke and heat detectors on the FSO, Monitoring of the FSO alarm systems and taking appropriate and early actions to respond to alarms.
- Acting as Area Operator and Isolating Authority in the absence of Lead CCRO.
- Prepare midnight inventory report and update Energy Component for deck ops related activities.
- Radio operators for both marine (GMDSS) and helicopters (ARO).
- Update deck ops related log books.
- Cargo documents preparation.
- Assist Lead CCRO and Deck Ops Supervisor as required.
- Assist personnel and material transfer as required.
- Updating the Energy Components computer reporting system for daily reports.
SHE (Safety Health Environment):
- Committed to safety and company procedures in all tasks.
- Maintaining LSA, Fi-Fi and SOPEP equipment on deck ops area in good condition and keeping the inventory list of these equipment up to date.
- Fulfill all Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.
- Emergency Response Responsibilities; Coxswain, ECC team member.
Competencies:
- Good understanding on Industrial Control System i.e. fire call process, access level into DCS, key management on shutdown system
- Competent on the safe work practice requirement and had passed CAS assessment on required competencies.
- Analytical thinker, enthusiastic, self-directed and customer focused.
- Good communication, Interpersonal and Analytical/Problem Solving Skills.
- Capable of working in a multi-national environment, sensitive to the local culture and international workforce
- Good understanding of ExxonMobil’s OIMS, CIMS, FIMS, PBPs and SSHE regulation/best practices.
- Site specific course required for the position, refer to EMCL Competency Training Roadmap
- Understanding of behavior-based safety programs
- Understanding of EMCL Safety Management system
- Sound understanding of emergency response processes, including offshore & deck oil spill responses
- Attend relevant emergency response trainings and hold certifications per applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Merchant Marine Higher Institute (Deck Officer); ANT III ` ANT 1
- Good written and oral communication skills in English with TOEIC score minimum at 650
- Holding a valid Class 2 (Chief Mate) or Class 3 (Second Mate) certificate of competency for unlimited tonnage, with a liquid petroleum and/or dangerous cargo endorsement.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a similar position
- A high level of computer ability and skills are essential.
